Avalanche Dolomite is a cream moderate-pattern dolomite from Brazil. Dolomite sits between marble and quartzite in hardness. It looks like marble, resists etching better, and should be sealed.
Example: a 45 sq ft kitchen needs about 1 slab of Avalanche Dolomite at this size. The install is 45 × $38 = $1,710, plus the slabs at the yard's price. A 60 sq ft kitchen with an island takes about 2 slabs and $2,280 in install.
Installation is $38 per square foot with the sink cutout included, plus the slab, priced from the yard's current list.
At about 64.6 sq ft per slab, a typical 45 sq ft kitchen needs 1. We lay your tops out on the actual slab before cutting.
